Students attending school or receiving services at Liggett Trail must be determined eligible through a screening/evaluation process.  If your student has not already been deemed eligible, please give us a call before starting the enrollment process.

New Student Registration and Students Requesting Residency Waivers

Contact Department of Public Safety (DPS) Monday - Friday from 8 a.m.-Noon, and 1:00 pm. - 4:00 p.m. at (816) 874-3330. 

You will need a waiver if any of the following applies to your family: 

  • Buying or building a house in the district
  • Residing in a motel or month to month lease
  • State placement or foster care
  • Pending or pending legal Guardianship
  • Student is 18 years old
  • Parents are deceased, incarcerated, or active military/deployed
  • Experiencing Homelessness or hardship
